MONTHLY LUNCHEONS

Stay Connected to the Conversation

Our monthly luncheons are a regular opportunity to step away from your day-to-day work and engage with the people, ideas, and issues impacting the Bow Valley.

Over lunch, you’ll hear timely updates, listen to guest speakers, share perspectives on industry and municipal matters, and catch up with colleagues from across the region.

Whether you're there to learn something new, reconnect with fellow members, or meet someone you haven't worked with before, there's always a reason to pull up a chair.

BUILDING FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Accelerating Best Practices, Strategies & Solutions

How can we meet the Bow Valley’s housing needs while balancing environmental stewardship, affordability, and responsible growth? How can we reduce the carbon intensity of our buildings in a way that’s cost-effective and scalable? How can we build communities that are more resilient to evolving challenges, including wildfires, flooding, and other climate-related risks?

These are some of the key questions explored through Building for Sustainability, BOWDA’s flagship thought leadership initiative, presented in partnership with the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley.

Held annually in Canmore, the multi-day symposium brings together industry experts from across Canada, alongside leaders from Alberta’s development, planning, finance, insurance, sustainability, building science, and public sectors.

Together, we draw on our collective knowledge and experience to explore practical solutions to the complex challenges and competing priorities facing industry and communities, from housing affordability and climate resilience to responsible growth, innovation, and long-term community sustainability.

Keynotes, workshops, panel discussions, dedicated networking, field tours, and hands-on learning create opportunities to share expertise, build connections, challenge conventional thinking, discover innovative approaches, and turn big conversations into ideas participants can apply to their own projects, organizations, and communities.

Deliberately designed to encourage interaction and discussion, the symposium provides opportunities to connect with speakers, industry peers, and subject matter experts throughout the event.

UNGOLFED

A New Kind of Networking Event:

Some of the best business relationships start when people have a chance to relax, laugh, and really get to know one another.

That's the idea behind UnGolfed, our unconventional golf tournament co-hosted annually with the Bow Valley Chamber of Commerce. Designed for golfers and non-golfers alike, the event swaps the traditional tournament combines a fun and approachable nine-hole format with interactive activities, creative challenges, and plenty of opportunities to connect with the broader Bow Valley business community.

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer, occasional player, or simply looking to build new relationships, UnGolfed creates an environment where meaningful conversations, new connections, and a little friendly competition all have a place.

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS & TRAINING

Stay Ahead of a Changing Industry

Through partnerships with industry organizations and training providers, members also gain access to specialized learning opportunities and preferred pricing on a variety of educational programs and certifications.

Whether learning from subject matter experts or fellow industry professionals, these opportunities help members stay informed, build practical knowledge, share experiences, and bring new ideas and best practices back to their organizations.
